Description: Basic principles of human nutrition. Emphasis is placed on the nutrient requirements and the role of nutrition in overall health. The importance of nutrition in health promotion and disease prevention will be discussed in relation to personal health choices and with applications for students contemplating careers in nutrition, dietetics, or other science fields.
Notes: This course is for Human Nutrition majors, Exercise Science majors, or other Science majors such as Biology or Chemistry. Offered fall, spring, and summer.
