ECON 495 - Capstone in Economics |
Description: This course introduces students to economics as a profession. The course covers broad questions of why economists study the types of problems they do, how the economic tool-kit can be used, and how economists operate in various business sectors. The course focuses on the production of a student portfolio of work, including a high quality research project developed under the direction of the instructor.
Prerequisites: ECON215, ECON 216, HMXP102 or HXCT301, and QMTH205 or an equivalent MATH course, all with a minimum grade of c-. All ECON courses numbered above 299 have a prerequisite of junior status and an overall GPA of at least 2.00.
