Description: This course provides an overview of the history of child welfare policies and services in the United States, a critical assessment of how values influence the development of policies and the provision of services to children, and provides a framework for evaluating child welfare policies and practices within the NASW Code of Ethics framework. Notes: Offered spring and summer. Prerequisites: Junior or higher status.
