Description: This course helps candidates achieve self-mastery in the fundamental areas of educational gymnastics and educational/creative dance. It is also designed to show the teacher candidate how educational dance and gymnastics relates to an individual child’s personal development - intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Reflections on teaching, an emphasis on peer teaching, and interdisciplinary connections through various stimuli are also explored.
Prerequisite: Physical Education major.
Notes: Must be a physical education teacher certification major to take this course. Offered in spring.
