ECED 638 - Fostering Creativity in the Early Childhood Learner (3).
Description: A study of concepts and content including: arts (sound, color, rhythm, movement) in early childhood education curriculum; methods and materials for developing creativity; room arrangement; and relevant research. Observation and participation in Macfeat Child Development Laboratory is required. Students will develop the knowledge, skills, and professional dispositions necessary to promote the development and learning of young children ages 3-6 in a child care setting. Prerequisites: Admission to MAT program or permission of department chairperson. Notes: A grade of "C" or better is required, and this course cannot be taken as S/U. Offered in fall, spring, and summer.
