ECED 636 - Foundations of Early Childhood Education (3).
Description: An advanced study of the early childhood profession, including ethics, early models (birth - age 8), child care centers, Head Start, and other preschool facilities, state and federal regulations, historical and societal changes, and contemporary trends. Observation and participation in an early childhood setting is required. Prerequisite: Admission to MAT program or permission of department chairperson. Notes: A grade of "C" or better is required, and this course cannot be taken as S/U. Offered in fall, spring, and summer.
