Description: This course will examine the evolution of the Romans from the founding of the city (traditionally 753 BCE) through the disintegration of the Roman Empire in the west, which occurred in the fifth century CE. In addition, the course will explore what life was like for Romans at different times in their history.
Prerequisite: Prerequisite for all 300 and 500 level courses in History: Sophomore status or permission of the Department Chair; or graduate status.
