Description: History of Europe since the beginning of the First World War, including the rise of fascism and communism, the Second World War and the Holocaust, the growth of the welfare state, the Cold War, and the collapse of communism, examined within the context of wide-ranging social and cultural change.
Prerequisite for all 300 and 500 level courses in History: Sophomore status or permission of the Department Chair.
