ATRN 402H - Clinical Experiences in Athletic Training V (3:0:4). |
Description: This course provides opportunities for application of skills in a clinical setting. All experiences are obtained under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer. Emphasis will be on utilizing all skills obtained in the Athletic Training Education Program. Students will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: taping and wrapping, lower extremity evaluation, upper extremity and cervical spine evaluation, head/trunk evaluation, recognition and evaluation of general medical conditions, application of therapeutic modalities, development and implementation of rehabilitation programs, fitting and maintenance of protective equipment, and the maintenance of patient records.
Notes: Offered in fall and spring.
Prerequisites: ATRN 301.
