Description: An ACEND accredited dietetic internship in facilities providing acute/inpatient care.The internship is a competency-based program which prepares graduates to meet or exceed entry-level competency standards for registered dietitians.The dietetic internship program at Winthrop University is currently granted continuing accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Notes: Lab Fee: $250. A grade of S or U is recorded. Offered in spring and summer.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into the dietetic internship; Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) verification statement from an ACEND accredited undergraduate program in dietetics.
Corequisite: NUTR 529.
