CHEM 307 - Bioorganic Chemistry (3). |
Description: The course bridges the transition from organic chemistry into biochemistry applications of organic chemistry. We will discuss lipids, proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids from the standpoint of the structural features and chemical reactivity to better understand how these molecules interact within our body. We will also examine applications of structural bioorganic to medicinal chemistry.
Prerequisite: CHEM 301.
