ARTS 542 - Advanced Painting (3:7).
Description: Advanced Painting will focus on developing and refining an individual artistic point of view through projects that engage in painting using an array of aesthetic approaches, which includes both representational and nonrepresentational painting. A continued study at this level in painting must result in students advancing in the production of an advanced body of work. Notes: Lab Fee: $50. Offered in fall and spring. Course may be repeated for a total of 6 credit hours. Prerequisites: Six hours of ARTS 442. All ARTS (3:7) numbered above 375 have a prerequisite of junior status and the successful completion of the specialization portfolio review or permission of the Chair of the Department of Fine Arts.
