ARTS 366 - Serial Photography (Film-based) (3:0:7) |
Description: This course provides the student an opportunity for developing a personal series of B&W images while learning the basics of The Zone System. After initially completing a set of shorter assignments based on technical exercises, the remainder of the semester will be spent working within the ‘straight’ style of social documentary and fine art photography. A single project that aims at a cohesive visual investigation of a topic of the student’s choice, printed from film camera negatives, will be the principal component of the course portfolio.
Prerequisites: ARTS 205 and ARTS 364.
