Description: A study of selected major works (excluding the novel) with some attention to dramatic comedy, satire, periodical essay, poetry, and biography. Representative and foundational novels from the period may also be studied.

Prerequisites: C- or better in both HMXP 102 and ENGL 203, or graduate status, or permission of the instructor.
