ELEM 361 - Teaching Science in the Elementary School (3:3:1).
Description: This course is designed to prepare students to teach science in the elementary school. It includes a study of standards, methods, materials, activities, assessment, and current philosophy of science education for the elementary age student. Field-based assignments are required. Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education and any general education science course. Corequisites: ELEM 360, ELEM 362, and READ 380. Notes: A grade of "C" or better must be earned, and this course cannot be taken as S/U. Offered in fall and spring.
