EDCO 610 - Effective Teaching Practices for Exceptional and Diverse Learners (3). |
Description: This course is designed to provide students with the characteristics, assets, and instructional needs of exceptional and diverse learners. This includes, but is not limited to, gifted learners, culturally and linguistically diverse learners, learners living in poverty, and learners with disabilities. In addition, students will investigate research-based teaching practices and methods for designing and accommodating the instructional environment and curricula aligned to the principles of Universal Design for Learning. Approximately 12 hours of field work will be completed for this course.
Prerequisite: EDCO 601.
