CHEM 520 - Essentials of Biochemistry (3). |
Description: This course covers the fundamentals of biochemistry including: nomenclature of biological molecules, key reactions in anabolic and catabolic pathways, cell signaling, regulation of gene expression and interaction of biological pathways. Mechanistic explanations will be included for key reactions discussed.
Prerequisite: CHEM302 with a grade of C or above, CHEM304 with a grade of C or above.
