ARTH 357 - Egyptian Art (3).
Description: An examination of 3000+ years of art and architecture in ancient Egypt from the Neolithic to the Late Period. The approach will be roughly chronological. A good amount of time will be spent examining singular monuments or objects in historical context. Through lecture and directed readings, students will also discover ancient myths and religious beliefs, and explore the political and cultural constructs of the ancient Egyptian civilization. Notes: Offered periodically.
