Description: This course examines how race, ethnicity and culture influence the development of personal identity of self. Historical and contemporary models of ethnic, cultural and/or racial identity formation will be examined. Diversity in the developmental process and outcomes of identity formation for African Americans will be emphasized.

Prerequisites: PSYC 101 or AAMS 300 and WRIT 101.
