Description: Begins with an introduction to several of the primary theories in ethics, like utilitarianism, egoism, deontology, etc. On this foundation, the course goes on to consider topics in applied ethics, such as abortion, human cloning, animal rights, drug legalization, world hunger, capital punishment, just war theory, etc.
