Description: The study of parabolic, hyperbolic, and elliptic partial differential equations that arise in diffusion, wave, and potential theory. Topics include the study of initial and boundary value problems, separation of variables, Fourier series, Sturm-Liouville problems, and nonhomogeneous conditions.
Prerequisites: MATH300, MATH301 and MATH305; or instructor permission.
