Description: A study of essential knowledge, concepts, skills, and attitudes for teaching social studies in the early childhood classroom. Course content includes a study of relevant research, standards, curriculum methods and materials for instruction and assessment in early childhood classrooms. Observation and participation in early childhood settings is required. Practicum assignments are required.
Prerequisite: Admission Teacher Education Program.
Corequisites: ECED 350 & ECED 351.
Notes: A grade of "C" or better must be earned, and this course cannot be taken S/U. Offered in fall and spring.
