MATH 570 - Industrial Mathematics (3). |
Description: Students in this course will work on a semester-long mathematics research problem that comes directly from a business, industry, or government agency. Topics covered in such research projects include data mining, optimization methods, linear programming, and mathematical modeling. Students will also acquire experience with industry-standard data visualization software and database management.
Notes: Offered fall and spring.
Prerequisite: MATH370.
