CSDV 621 - Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Counseling (3).
Description: This course will instruct students in the methods and research of clinical systems assessment of psychopathology and multiaxial diagnosis. Students will learn to perform individual, relational, and larger systems assessments, including but not limited to a mental status exam, comprehensive mental status exam, psychological genogram, and diagnosis using the DSM-IV-TR. Diverse theoretical approaches to treatment planning, clinical practice, and process issues are considered across a variety of psychological disorders. Notes: Lab Fee: $50. Prerequisites: CSDV admission or permission of the instructor.
