PHED 612 - Movement Concepts and Skill Themes (3:2:2). |
Description: This course will allow students to apply movement concepts to human movement and to explore the interaction of these concepts with skill themes. Emphasis will be placed on using movement concepts to analyze both skilled and unskilled movement, differentiate among stages of learning for various skill themes, and to apply movement concepts and skill themes to plan and implement developmentally appropriate instruction. A two hour teaching laboratory is required as part of the course along with a demonstration of physical competency in the fundamental movement skills.
