Description: Examination of representative fiction and drama with emphasis on writers such as Hemingway, Faulkner, Updike, O'Neill, Bellow, Warren, Heller, Ellison, and Irving.

Prerequisites: ENGL 211 or graduate status. WRIT 101 is a prerequisite for all ENGL courses. HMXP 102 and a previous ENGL course are prerequisites to any 500-level ENGL course.
