ECED 333 - Creative Activities for Young Children (3).
Description: A study of concepts and content including room arrangement in the early childhood curriculum, methods and materials for developing creativity, and a review of relevant research. Observation and participation in two or more of the following settings: day care centers, private nursery schools, public schools, community agencies, and the Macfeat laboratory school. Students will observe and work with children of diverse ages (infants, toddlers, preschoolers or primary school age), and with children reflecting culturally and linguistically diverse family systems. Follow-up conferences will be held with classroom teachers and college faculty. Notes: Teached Education students must receive a grade of C or better and may not elect the S/U option. Offered the spring and summer. Prerequisites: EDCI 336 and admission to Teacher Education Program.
