BIOL 557 - Genetic Engineering (4:3:3)
Description: This course is an in-depth study of recombinant DNA techniques and their application in genetic engineering and biotechnology. The class will focus on the progress of current research in these fields. The laboratory aims to develop skills to a broad range of established molecular genetics and genetic engineering methods and applications. Prerequisite: BIOL 317 or graduate status. A grade of C or better in BIOL 300 is required to enroll in all Biology courses numbered above 300 (except 303, 304, 307, 308, 323, 461, and 463). Notes: Lab fee: $50. Offered periodically.
