BIOL 555 - Molecular Biology (3). |
Description: A comprehensive, one-semester study of the molecular basis of life. The course includes the structure and function of macromolecules, synthesis and interactions of biologically important molecules, molecular genetics, biochemical energetics, enzymatics, and molecular mechanisms in biological systems. This course is intended for students who plan to enter into a health-professional graduate program (medical school, veterinary school, dental school, medical technology), or a graduate program in biology.
Notes: Offered in fall of odd years.
Prerequisites: BIOL 300, CHEM 301. A grade of C or better in BIOL 300 is required to enroll in all Biology courses numbered above 300 (except BIOL 303, 304, 307, 308, 323, 461, and 463).
