Description: A study of the historical and contemporary aspects of the science of heredity including patterns and modes of inheritance, fundamental aspects of molecular genetics and an introduction to the methods and applications of recombinant DNA technologies. The laboratory aims to provide hands on experience in Mendelian genetics, molecular genetics, and cytogenetics.
