ARTS 356 - Jewelry and Metals II (3:7).
Description: A continuation of the exploration of jewelry concepts and technologies. Techniques such as casting, basic stone-setting, color on metal, and mechanisms are introduced with emphasis on creative problem solving, craft and individual aesthetic growth. Critical analysis of work is provided in group critiques. Coursework includes visual and historical research, technical samples, drawings, three dimensional models and finished works. Notes: Lab Fee: $100. Offered in fall and spring. Prerequisites: ARTS 355.
